7pm till 8.30pm.
Friends of Oxfam (WA) with One World Centre are holding a pre-election event on the evening of Thursday May 5th. This is a free event which will be held on zoom from 7pm till 8.30pm. It will be a state-wide event.
At this critical time for the planet, and for the global population, we need politicians to think beyond our national borders.
Join with Senator Dorinda Cox from the Greens, Patrick Gorman MP from the ALP, Kate Chaney Independent Voices for Curtin and a Liberal candidate yet to be confirmed for this important discussion.
It is envisaged that candidates will address issues such as international cooperation, climate change, trade, refugee policy, promoting human rights and importantly Australia’s response to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The event will be moderated by Martin Drum, Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Notre Dame. Plenty of time will be given to an audience Q&A session.
