About Millennium Kids
Millennium Kids is a non government organisation run by young people for young people. The organisation was established in 1996 in response to kids demand to have a say about their environment and their world. Millennium Kids is about advocacy and action.
Millennium Kids aims to develop local, regional and international partnerships which empower young people to explore, identify and address environmental issues and make change in their communities.
The MK21 UNconference for Future Thinkers
One hundred young people, 10 – 25 years, from the Asia Pacific region will attend a three day UNconference in Western Australia, taking part in futures thinking workshops with Dr Anita Sykes-Kelleher, from Designer Futures, and Chair of Millennium Kids Inc, and Catrina –Luz Aniere, CEO Millennium Kids Inc.
Participants will share their projects reports, along with ideas for future collaboration between schools, NGOs and corporates. They will leave the UNconference armed with ideas and enthusiasm to tackle sustainable change in their local, regional and international communities.
