During this important workshop Joe Courtney, a meteorologist from the Bureau of Meteorology, will provide a 15-minute update on the science of climate change. He will also be available to answer your questions: What
is the latest on air and sea temperatures, sea levels, ice extent and extreme events? How is Australia and more specifically Perth being affected? Is it really a climate crisis? Is there any good news? What are credible sources of information to use?

David Wood from Einstein First science UWA , will then follow on with a 45-minute session on practical climate science examples including: how solar panels make electricity; making coal; vibrating molecules; CO2 absorption; and re-emission activities.

(Suitable for primary and secondary teachers.)
